Emmalynn Herbstritt, of Moab, Utah Died in a Saturday fatal climbing accident in Grand County.

The deceased climber from Saturday’s fatal accident in Grand County has been named as Emmalynn Herbstritt, a resident of Moab, Utah.

On Saturday at around 2 p.m., a female Canyoneering guide from Salt Lake City was killed in a climbing mishap.

Paramedics in Grand County report that 21-year-old Emmalynn Herbstritt was unresponsive when they arrived. Death was subsequently pronounced for Herbstritt at the site.

The mishap happened at Moab’s Morning Glory Arch.

Accident responders included the Grand County sheriff’s office, search and rescue teams, Grand County emergency medical services, National Park Service Rangers, and Bureau of Land Management Rangers.
